Coverages –

Product offers you a refund of premium upon cancelling hotel bookings anytime between the booking date till the check-in date due to any of the reasons listed below, the insurance company will indemnify the cost of booking as mentioned in the certificate of insurance maximum up to Rs. 10,000 whichever is less. The insurance company will only indemnify the non-refundable/ difference of booking amount.

Below are the listed reasons against which the claim will be paid -

• Death or minimum 24-hour hospitalization of your immediate family member or traveling companion or You.
• Your presence is required by judicial authority during the period of insurance.
• You are unable to start your trip due to any natural disaster declared by the appropriate government authority
• Due to unexpected strike, riot or Civil commotion at Your destination or hometown or departure city.
• Compulsory quarantine or prevention of travel by Government of India.

Claim Process–

A. Documents/process flow for Trip Cancellation

• Duly filled claim form
• Insurance policy copy
• Bills & Payment proof of accommodation (pre-booked)
• Refund details of pre booked expenses from the service partner
• Copy of cancelled cheque
• Govt Photo ID proof
• KYC document

B. Cancellation in case of medical reason or death: -

• Admission Notes/Discharge Summary
• Medical record
• Death Certificate
• Any supporting document in case of cancellation due to any other reason.

Insurance company will approve the claim once all documents are in place and then they will send the same ahead for processing. Claims are processed within 15 working days from the date of receipt of all documents.
